What is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)?
A Limited Liability Partnership is when the members have limited liability but undertake the management themselves rather than appointing directors to manage the company on their behalf. A LLP enables members the benefits of operating like a Partnership and is therefore often favoured by Accountancy and Solicitor firms.
Main Features of a Limited Liability Partnership:
- An LLP has members but NO directors, shareholders or share capital
- The Members have Limited Liability
- No requirements for board or general meetings
- It does not have a Memorandum or Articles of Association
